Sensitive Facial

Whether you’re experiencing conditions such as eczema, rosacea, or generally reactive skin this treatment can help manage the severity and ameliorate general sensitivities. This treatment includes little to no fragrance and with a gentle, but effective, approach your skin barrier may be supported and repaired.

For our sensitive facial, we will begin with an evaluation to discuss skin difficulties or conditions such as allergies, eczema, and rosacea. Often times, skin sensitivity can resulted from over-cleansing and exfoliation, so to start your treatment an unscented and gentle double cleanse will help clean and repair damaged areas.

Next, facial massage will be implicated with an unscented oil to help add hydration and stimulate necessary blood-flow for healing and detoxification. Depending on the severity of sensitivity, a customized mask treatment will be applied along with cold compresses to effectively reduce reactive skin.

To finish this treatment, an unscented moisturizer and SPF will be applied to further the protection of your skin barrier.

Microdermabrasion Facial

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure that removes the top layer of skin to reveal smoother, more youthful-looking skin without downtime.

This service uses a diamond-tipped wand to gently suction and exfoliate the outermost layer of dead skin cells, revealing fresher, smoother skin underneath. Microdermabrasion can be a beneficial for more than simple exfoliation!

With consistency this treatment can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dry skin, sun damage, and seborrhea, and even more severe issues like acne scarring, cholasma, melasma, and post-surgical scars. For optimal results with these skin concerns, we recommend a package of sessions. For those with fine lines, dry skin, sun damaged skin, and seborrhea difficulties, a 6 session treatment package may give the best lasting results.

This process will include 3 sessions in 14-day intervals, and the remaining 3 sessions in 21-day intervals. Maintaining results long-term can vary and it is recommended to visit every 4-6 weeks. If you’re looking for more drastic results from conditions such as acne scars, cholasma, melasma, and post-surgical scars, you may find the end-result from 12 total sessions will be best suited. Depending on the state of your skin, this treatment protocol will start aggressive with 6 treatments in 7-10 day intervals. Then, to give you skin a small break, we will wait a month and continue the last 6 treatments in 14-21 day intervals and follow-up with monthly maintenance visits.

Microneedling

Microneedling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles to create micro-punctures in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing process to produce more collagen, resulting in several benefits. Microneedling can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, scarring, skin texture, and hyper-pigmentation such as sun damage or blemish marks. Collagen induction therapy can also improve skin tone and enhance the natural radiance or glow within. During the microneedling process, a “slip” product is applied to the skin and then needled into the epidermis. We have chosen to use Dermaki Skincare as our primary product-line for this treatment to utilize their cutting-edge blend of plant-based growth factors, hyaluronic acid, peptide and amino acid complexes, and aloe hydrosols to optimize overall recovery and results.

Generally, microneedling can be a great stand-alone procedure but depending on the treatment goal, multiple visits may be necessary. For more intense desired results such as reducing the appearance of deep wrinkles, severe hyper-pigmentation and/or scarring, we recommend several visits within a short time-frame to maximize the benefits. Depending on skin type and sensitivity, we suggest initial procedures being spread out in 4-6 week increments and then visiting every 6-12 months for routine maintenance.

This treatment has a quick recovery rate of 2-4 days with slight redness and/or dry spots. Aftercare is also very simple and can include using a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF for the first 3-7 days. You’ll also want to discontinue the use of all retinols, anti-aging products, vitamin C, and chemical exfoliants such as glycolic and salycilic acid for 7 days before the treatment and 3-7 days after. After the procedure, it is important to stay clean and hydrated while avoiding makeup for the first 12 hours. Avoid swimming, waxing, and false tan application for 24 hours, no saunas, botox, or facial injections for 48 hours, and avoiding sun exposure as much as possible within the first 72 hours is crucial for an optimal healing process.
